The validity and reliability of the multiple mini-interview in assessing the capabilities of nursing education PhD candidates: A methodological study

Objective: For a long time, the Single-Station Personal Interview (SSPI) used for nursing PhD admissions has merely evaluated candidates’ cognitive skills. A new evolution emerged in exams by introduction of effective evaluation methods such as Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI) and emphasis on noncognitive The aim study was to determine validity reliability MMI evaluating competences. Results: approved panel experts. highest pertained thesis (74.25±9.10). finding assessing show that there not significant first-stage written scores (r=0.22, P=0.18). There all (P<0.001). rater showed inter-rater at five (P<0.05). Conclusions: interviews held this method can ensure consistency accuracy postgraduate admissions.
